Sculpting for a change of pace ;)

WOW! January is just blowing by since I've been busy getting the studio back in order after
 my Everglades Museum Exhibition.
That was a lot of re-arranging in this cramped space, the studio, not the museum!  LOL!
Anyway, I've been back to sculpting, see the pics! :)
These are a continuation of an old series that I have decided to make more of.
But I'll need to break again....a studio disaster as far as I'm concerned  ;(
There's a leak above me, so more dust and moving stuff around for construction repairs!  UGH!
Click HERE if you'd like to see more of my Ke BEADS!

Click here to see my EBAY AUCTIONS set to
go up Wednesday Jan. 27th
I will be back to painting outdoors again with
my Plein Air group, so should have some
South Florida Art ready!
Art Synergy 2015 (Art Palm Beach) at the Palm Beach Convention Center starts Jan 22nd, I'll be working somewhere there, can't wait to see what these fabulous artists are doing now! If you are in the area, come and plan to go to Antique Row on Dixie Hwy. Don't forget to try out all the Fine Dining in the area while you are out and about :)
Have a nice week end in Palm Beach County!

This is at the reception, wow, the nicest people live down in the Everglades!  :)
You have to go, lots of non-commercial out-doorsey things to do!
Kayaking around Ten Thousand Islands .... take your camera because the wildlife is plentiful.
Airboat rides, fishing guides that supply everything, no schlepping all your gear on the plane!  :)
And the food! Home made Key lime pie with a graham cracker crust...annoyed I cannot remeber the name of little cafe, but we had to eat there twice b4 we left!  Oh and
if ya like seafood, it's fresh caught! Fresh smoked Kingfish. OMG! So good!
A waterfront cafe where u literally almost hang off the side watching fishing boats & the pelicans begging for scraps.  If you've never been to the Everglades, plan to spend the day poking around the area for all the tucked in attractions (for lack of a better word).  It's like the last frontier and the prices are super reasonable compared to the upper Florida places ;)

Bold colors marry traditional Florida flora and fauna in a whimsical blend of “tropical expressionism” at a new exhibit hosted by the Museum of the Everglades entitled “Tropical Art With An Edge” by Ke Robinson.
The Florida artist, who lives in West Palm Beach, was on hand Saturday, Dec. 6, to talk about her mixed media collection which made its debut in Everglades City. She spoke modestly of her work, explaining her inspiration behind the paintings of native Florida birds and alligators. “I paint what I please,” she stated.
Robinson is a self-taught artist who claims to have “always sketched” and picked up some skills through workshops. Instead of working from photos, she paints in “plein air,” French term meaning painting outdoors. Her work has been described as abstract contemporary folk art painting.
The exhibit will be on display in the Pauline Reeves Gallery until Dec. 31. Located in historic Everglades City, three miles south of US 41 (Tamiami Trail) and SR 29, the museum explores more than 2,000 years of human history in the area. The museum is open Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM. It is located at 105 West Broadway, Everglades City.

Great NEWS!
I will have most all of my Florida Everglades on exhibit
at a museum in Everglades City!
I have never had so may paintings for display all at once, so
am happyto see it all come together.  Kudos to all those other artists that can pull it all together
time after time for shows.
It's HARD WORK!
Anyway, it will be for the whole month of December 2014,
so come on down and enjoy the bottom of Florida in the cool months, boating and tour things to do and
don't forget to stop by the museum!

Big Cats Need Love Too!

Just want to share a nice place to visit!

The McCarthy Wildlife Sanctuary is an off the beaten path from the regular touristy spots to see and learn about Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY! Well, no bears.  :)
I took my guest there this past week and you get an UP CLOSE and personal tour by appointment only. Totally Worth It, don't forget to stop by the gift shop to help support the care and feeding of the big guys....they are HUGE meat eaters, but not to worry, they are well fed before tour time. >wink<
Anyway, like most artists, I am inspired and just can't wait to get in the studio and paint! Here's what I have, hope you like! :)

Plus, ssssspppttt...I have an upcoming MUSEUM exhibition!
OMG! Yes, I can't believe my luck...more later!
Hope Everyone is having a nice Summer!
