Our auction date is fast approaching!
The Icon International Foundation auction opens for bidding on January 16, 2008 at 8:00 Eastern Standard Time Time.
Our goal is to raise $100,000. through this auction to further our planned long term efforts to save the futures of as many of the 1000,000. homeless children and 500,000. foster care children in our country. We need everyone's support!
We have a standard format at cMarket that we must follow. Also, we came to realize that we needed to add an additional sum to the artist's quoted price in order to cover our expense to be incurred upon the sale of each respective item. This has definitely been a learning experience for us.
Press Releases have gone out to all major and most secondary news papers regarding the Jan. 16th auction. With each auction our buyer response will increase, as our activity in this will become more and more widely known.
Besides our efforts to acquire corporate and foundation donations and grants, we intend our auctions to be a permanent on-going part of our fund raising programs.
Our second auction will begin early March. Please let us know in advance if you wish to participate.
You cannot know how much you are appreciated by Icon management. We consider each and every person involved in these auctions to be a valued member of our Group who is adding their personal efforts to Icon's cause to save the futures of these hundreds of thousands of our children. Please consider yourself one of us, and feel free to communicate your thoughts.
