Great NEWS!
I will have most all of my Florida Everglades on exhibit
at a museum in Everglades City!
I have never had so may paintings for display all at once, so
am happyto see it all come together.  Kudos to all those other artists that can pull it all together
time after time for shows.
It's HARD WORK!
Anyway, it will be for the whole month of December 2014,
so come on down and enjoy the bottom of Florida in the cool months, boating and tour things to do and
don't forget to stop by the museum!

Big Cats Need Love Too!

Just want to share a nice place to visit!

The McCarthy Wildlife Sanctuary is an off the beaten path from the regular touristy spots to see and learn about Lions and Tigers and Bears OH MY! Well, no bears.  :)
I took my guest there this past week and you get an UP CLOSE and personal tour by appointment only. Totally Worth It, don't forget to stop by the gift shop to help support the care and feeding of the big guys....they are HUGE meat eaters, but not to worry, they are well fed before tour time. >wink<
Anyway, like most artists, I am inspired and just can't wait to get in the studio and paint! Here's what I have, hope you like! :)

Plus, ssssspppttt...I have an upcoming MUSEUM exhibition!
OMG! Yes, I can't believe my luck...more later!
Hope Everyone is having a nice Summer!

During the 15th annual Everglades Festival my plein air artist's group painted the scenery and the works are on display in the auditorium at the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge.
Some amazingly talented Florida painters in this group, so come on by and take a look at the work created that day! Work is for sale and a portion goes to protecting this natural habitat!
I could barely finish one, but some artists were more productive  :) Lots of really nice artwork.
This guy actually stood and posed for 3 of us for what seemed like the whole morning till noon!
He was actually a bit raggedy I am assuming from being snapped at by gators since the whole time I was there, I watched as 2 gators slowly inched their way toward him till he finally took off.
no doubt to be reenacted the following morning(s)........
The Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge is a 147,392-acre (596.47 km2) wildlife sanctuary that includes the most northern remnant of the historic Everglades wetland ecosystem.

Cultural Council of Palm Beach County

Plein air paintings (painted on location) will be on exhibit in April 2014.
Opening reception is April 10th,  5:30 - 7:30 pm if you are in the area!  :)
I think there will be over 121 paintings from South Florida artists!  :) All sizes & media.
Mine are these two oils - Spanish Courtyard I and Spanish Courtyard II .
Painted at the Society of the Four Arts.
There are 7 gardens built and maintained by the Palm Beach Garden Club.
The Spanish Garden was built by Mrs. J. S. Phipps 1938  to showcase the varieties of
plants and flowers that could be grown in our southern tropical clime.
Thank you Mrs. J.S. Phipps!
